With nearly 25 years of experience in digital dentistry, Terence “Terry” Whitty is a highly regarded dental technology key opinion leader, consultant, educator, author, Dental Technician and Dental Prosthetist. Bringing more than four decades of experience in dental technology to the profession, he is the founder and owner of FABDENT Dental Laboratory and Supply Company, a business he has successfully led for more than four decades.

Terry lectures extensively throughout Australia and internationally on a broad range of subjects relating to dental technology, clinical techniques, digital workflows, advanced manufacturing, and material science. Recognised as one of Australia’s pioneers in commercial digital dentistry for more than two decades, he has been deeply involved in the evolution of CAD/CAM, milling, 3D printing, and dental SLM (Selective Laser Melting) metal manufacturing technologies.

FABDENT specialises in advanced digital dental manufacturing, utilising the latest developments in digital dental technology across the spectrum of specialities of dentistry. A respected and accomplished author of books and more than 250 published articles across Australian and international dental publications, Terry has also served as Technical Editor of Elaborate Dental Technology magazine for over 22 years. He was awarded the Diplôme d’Honneur at the Paris International Dental Film Festival for innovative digital case presentations and has received numerous additional awards and accolades recognising the quality, clarity, and impact of his educational presentations.
